Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for a big matchup in Week 8, as the Green Bay Packers are visiting Acrisure Stadium this coming Sunday.
Why is that contest attracting plenty of attention doesn’t really need a deep explanation, with Rodgers about to face the team he played for nearly two decades.
But before that, Rodgers and some of his Steelers teammates showed their support to the Pittsburgh Penguins by showing up to a hockey game on Tuesday.

Rodgers was among the many in attendance at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh to catch Sidney Crosby and the Penguins play against the visiting Vancouver Canucks.
Wearing a Crosby jersey, Crosby was seen enjoying the action. He can also say that he was in the same building as Crosby when the Penguins superstar became the Pens franchise’s all-time leader in combined points in the regular season and playoffs, breaking Mario Lemieux’s record.

The 38-year-old Crosby scored a goal in the second period, helping the Penguins beat the Canucks, 5-1.
While they play completely different sports, Rodgers and Crosby share one thing besides being Pittsburgh sports superstars.
Both have incredibly long and successful careers in their respective leagues. Crosby and Rodgers are locks to be in the Hockey Hall of Fame and Pro Football Hall of Fame, respectively. While Crosby won three Stanley Cup titles, Rodgers reached the top of the football world with a Super Bowl victory with the Packers.
If Rodgers can bring a Super Bowl to Pittsburgh, his legend in the city will be more than just about his brief stay with the Steelers.
