The former six-time NBA champion is known for many things from his days as a Chicago Bulls star leading the Eastern Conference team to countless titles, but his latest record off the court has the sports card community in a frenzy after a private deal was recently struck with Goldin Auctions.

The Jordan 1986 Fleer rookie card is considered one of the highest-valued sports rookie memorabilia items in any sport, and this week a Mint 9 condition card was sold for over $2.7 million at private auction to a lucky fan.
Jordan’s rare card was even more valuable than normal because it was also autographed by the player that many consider to be the greatest basketball star in NBA history.
