His 34-yard pick-six gets the attention, and rightfully so, but had Cleveland Browns cornerback Tyson Campbell not been so fortunate as to have that ball drop right into his hands with a freeway in front of him, he would have still put together a very impressive outing in coverage against the Miami Dolphins.
On the afternoon, Campbell was targeted twice and allowed zero catches, breaking up a pass and collecting an interception, which he returned for a touchdown. Across 31 coverage snaps, he was again sticky in man, showing why the Browns were interested in bringing him in. While his coverage has been impressive, Campbell's effort in pursuit has been admirable, and is surely endearing him to the coaching staff. He chased down Steelers tight end Darnell Washington on the first play of the game, even knocking the ball loose after a big gain. On Sunday, he again had to shift into high gear, this time to catch up with Dolphins running back Devon Achane, one of the fastest players in the NFL.
