Cleveland Browns Film Room: Adin Huntington is Still Making an Impact

Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Adin Huntington played a season-low four snaps this past Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, and he's not logged a solo tackle or a quarterback pressure since Week 3, but despite his limited role and lack of box score production, he's still providing effective play when he does see the field.

Huntington's role moving forward is unclear with the looming return of Michael Hall Jr. If Shelby Harris ends up being traded ahead of the November 4th deadline, that would open up more DT snaps. He is 11th on the team in special teams snaps played, although his snaps on specials have dropped from 10 or more over the first five weeks to just six and three over the past two.

When Huntington is one the field defensively, he's playing well, even if he's not getting recognized for it with production. He's getting double-teamed at a high rate and apparently by coincidence, teams have been running a lot of plays away from Huntington, even moving the pocket opposite him. This probably isn't a direct response to his presence, but it does impact his ability to produce.
