Duke freshman star Cameron Boozer records dominant college basketball debut

Every college basketball season it appears that the Duke Blue Devils have yet another freshman star that manages to seemingly replace a talented player that has gone on to the NBA, and heading into the 2025/26 season that’s the case once again with Cameron Boozer taking the court for the ACC program.

Just last season, the Blue Devils found themselves in the NCAA Tournament Final Four with Cooper Flagg leading the way, but with the NBA star now preparing for his career with the Dallas Mavericks there’s a new talent poised for a breakout campaign at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Last night, Boozer put together a performance that will have Duke fans thrilled to watch him every night this season after dropping 33 points and adding 12 rebounds in his preseason debut against the University of Central Florida.

Boozer and his brother, Cayden, will both play important roles for Jon Scheyer’s team this upcoming season as the Blue Devils aim to make another deep March Madness run.
