Jordan Love Ranked Among NFL’s Most Efficient QBs

The Green Bay Packers have one of the most polarizing quarterbacks in the game.

Jordan Love hasn’t always been a talking point for the best reasons.

However, numbers don’t lie, and his numbers this season have been elite.

According to analyst Kevin Cole, Love ranks second in quarterback efficiency (EPA/play) this season.

At +0.33, he trails only New England Patriots QB Drake Maye (+0.35).

With Sam Darnold struggling a bit on MNF, we have a new quarterback efficiency (EPA/play) leader: Drake Maye

Drake Maye +0.35

Jordan Love +0.33

Daniel Jones +0.32

Dak Prescott +0.30

Sam Darnold +0.29

Patrick Mahomes +0.27

Lamar Jackson +0.27

Josh Allen…

Love is playing the best football of his career, and he’s taking much better care of the ball.

Of course, he still needs to prove that he can be this efficient and make the right decision in crucial moments, which has always been the main issue with him.

He has a tendency to do a little too much, and that has often led to forced throws and interceptions.

This season, however, it looks like head coach Matt LaFleur isn’t giving him as much freedom as in previous years.

So far, that approach has worked more often than not, as the Packers have won four of their first six games, with one loss and one tie.

Nevertheless, given the elite supporting cast Love has around him, and the teams they’ve played, the Packers arguably could be undefeated at this point, and they definitely could’ve been more in control than they’ve been in their past two wins.

In Week 8, they have a much-anticipated matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Sunday Night Football.”
