Ilya Zabarnyi’s big move from Bournemouth to Paris Saint-Germain is already being questioned. The latest comes after a horror show in the win over Bayer Leverkusen.
Le 10 Sport have covered how commentator Pierre Ménès criticised the former Bournemouth man on his YouTube channel after the game on Tuesday evening.
Zabarnyi joined PSG in a €63m move from Bournemouth in the summer. He had established himself as a key player for the Cherries during his three years at the club.
He’s quickly pushed his way into the PSG team as well. The defender has already made 10 appearances in all competitions, including three in the Champions League.
His latest will not be remembered with any fondness, though. He was shown a red card in the 37th minute of the eventual 7-2 win over the German side. That came alongside conceding two penalties, for a handball and a foul.
It was a disastrous first-half display, to say the least. Ménès was one of those less than impressed and does not appear to be a fan of the former Bournemouth man either.
“This isn’t the first time I’ve said or noticed that this guy has a problem in duels,” he said about the former Bournemouth defender.
“He’s been beaten twice, he’s given away two penalties, and of course his performance is beyond mediocre. It’s worrying,”
