Chiefs seek third straight win, host the Commanders in Week 8

In Week 8, the (4-3) Kansas City Chiefs will host the (3-4) Washington Commanders on “Monday Night Football.” GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium will be featured in primetime for the second time this season; kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. Arrowhead Time.

While the Chiefs are seeking a third consecutive victory, the Commanders want to avoid a third straight loss. Going into Arrowhead for a primetime battle was already going to be an uphill battle — but with uncertainty surrounding the availability of starting quarterback Jayden Daniels, wide receiver Terry McLaurin and wide receiver Deebo Samuel, the team’s outlook is even less promising. In addition, the Commanders have already placed a handful of impact players on Reserve/Injured this season.

Kansas City is coming off a 31-0 shutout of another injury-riddled team: Las Vegas Raiders. But even with Washington’s issues, Monday night’s viewers should be in for a better game than we saw last Sunday afternoon.
