An official NUFC announcement (see below) on Wednesday night, which has revealed the interim appointment to take charge of Newcastle United Women.

This follows the sacking of Becky Langley on Monday.

Newcastle United revealing that assistant manager Claire Ditchburn will take interim charge.

Former Newcastle United (men’s team) defender Peter Ramage will be assisting Claire Ditchburn for the time being.

With heavy investment by the club’s owners in the Newcastle United Women’s team set-up and a golden chance of promotion this season, with up to three of the twelve second tier women’s teams getting promotion this season up to an expanded Super League. No surprise that Becky Langley found herself sacked after winning only one of the first six league matches this season.
