Wide receiver Hines Ward continues his journey to a hopeful induction. This marks the 10th time he has chased an induction, and he has been a semi-finalist nine times. Ward retired with 1,000 career receptions, placing him 16th all-time. His 85 touchdowns are 19th all-time.
2008 Defensive Player of the Year James Harrison has been a semi-finalist in each of the last three years, and will get his chance once again.
Center Maurkice Pouncey is a first-ballot nominee after nine Pro Bowl selections, two First-Team All-Pro nods, and being a member of the 2010s All-Decade Team.
Kicker Gary Anderson rounds out the former Steelers nominees. He’s third all-time in points behind Adam Vinatieri and Morten Anderson.
The Steelers have 32 former players in the Hall of Fame, tying them for third all-time.
