Man Utd midfielder 'preparing' to listen to offers from Saudi Arabia

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro could be targeted by Saudi Pro League clubs in the January transfer window if he does not commit to his future at Old Trafford.

The 33-year-old's position at the club has come under scrutiny after he was sent off in Man Utd's 2-1 win over Chelsea, and the Red Devils could soon decide on his future.

In the summer window, it was speculated that Casemiro could be reunited with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, and the interest in the Brazilian still lingers.

According to a report fromFootball Insider, the former Real Madrid star could receive offers from both the Middle East and his native Brazil, and he is preparing to listen to them.

Casemiro to be offered a new deal?

The highly experienced midfielder has been one of Man Utd's strong performers in the opening half of the season and has worked his way back into Ruben Amorim's first-team plans.

The Brazilian's £375,000-a-week contract is due to expire next June, and it has been widely anticipated that he could leave either on a free at the end of the season or in the January window.

However, recent reports suggest that United could be prepared to offer him a contract extension, provided he takes a massive pay cut.

The Red Devils cannot simply continue to pay the South American £375,000 a week for another season, although his recent form has seen him work his way back into the Brazil set-up under Carlo Ancelotti.

Should United keep Casemiro?

Kobbie Mainoo has been facing an uncertain future at United after he struggled to get regular minutes under Amorim, and the England midfielder reportedly wants to leave in January.

United blocked his move in the summer window, and they have no intention of letting him leave in the middle of the season either, and the same goes for Bruno Fernandes.

Casemiro enjoyed a strong pre-season, and he has been brilliant for the Red Devils so far; therefore, it makes sense to keep him for another year, provided he is willing to take a significant pay cut.
