Michael Owen reckons that Marcus Rashford will snag a permanent move to Barcelona.
The 27-year-old is currently enjoying a fruitful season-long loan at the Camp Nou as his future at Old Trafford hangs in the balance. Rashford fell out of favour under Ruben Amorim shortly after the Portuguese tactician's arrival in the north west last November.
As a result, he spent the latter stages of last season on loan with Aston Villa. When he returned to Manchester this summer, he remained omitted from his manager's plans.
And as a result, he pushed for another move away from his boyhood club, either on a permanent or temporary basis. The England player's wish was granted when Barcelona snapped him up in a year-long deal, however, the Catalan giants also have an option to buy him permanently next summer for around £30million.
And according to former United striker Owen, the Catalans could well choose to exercise the clause. Speaking to 247Bet, Owen said: "I think he has definitely got the ability to earn a permanent move there, and he's almost been given a new lease of life now.
"Some would say he's been very fortunate, because he'd been really off his games for a number of seasons. So this is a massive chance, and he's got to grab it with both hands.

"But I think he's very capable and, if his head is in the right place, then I think he will earn a permanent move."
Since arriving in Barcelona, Rashford has managed five goals and six assists across all competitions from 12 outings, thriving under the tutelage of Hansi Flick despite stiff competition from the likes of Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
Starting as a centre-forward during Barca's Champions League clash with Olympiacos on Tuesday night, Rashford managed to find the back of the net twice in a 6-1 thrashing on home soil. He will now turn his attention to Barcelona's toughest test yet, as the club go head-to-head with Real Madrid in El Clasico come Sunday afternoon.
