Packers to wear all whites vs. Steelers’ throwbacks

The Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers will be relatively unrecognizable when they face off on _Sunday Night Football_ this week. Neither team will be wearing their classic uniforms, which, to me, is a little disappointing in a matchup between two massive brands.

The Packers will be wearing their all white “Winter Warning” uniforms, which debuted last season. They beat the Houston Texans and Seattle Seahawks in the look last year, and beat the Washington Commanders on _Thursday Night Football_ in the all whites. Interestingly, that Seahawks win was the last time that the Packers played on _Sunday Night Football_ against a team wearing their home colors (the Dallas Cowboys wear white jerseys at home, generally). So maybe the team just plans on wearing these all whites on the road in night games now.

The Steelers, meanwhile, are wearing their throwback uniforms with yellow helmets, striped jerseys and tan pants. It’s also possible that the Packers chose to wear white helmets to avoid confusion with the Steelers’ yellow caps.

Had the Packers worn their traditional helmets, it would have been the [first yellow helmet versus yellow helmet game since 1954](https://x.com/DaireCarragher/status/1980221163390566785)…another Steelers vs. Packers matchup.
