Former Everton favourite is now working alongside Paul Pogba and Eric Dier after rapid coaching …

Kevin Mirallas was a fan favourite at Everton and has now made a big step forward in his coaching career.

David Moyes found some real bargains during his first spell in charge of Everton.

The likes of Tim Cahill, Joleon Lescott and Mikel Arteta spring to mind, but so does Kevin Mirallas.

Mirallas cost just £6million from Olympiacos in 2012 and went on to play 186 games for Everton, scoring 38 times.

The Belgian winger departed for good in 2019 and is now carving out a strong coaching career for himself at just 38.

Former Everton star Kevin Mirallas coaching with Monaco against Tottenham Hotspur

We noted earlier this season that Mirallas has been coaching in the Champions League with Union Saint-Gilloise.

Mirallas served as Sebastien Pocognoli’s assistant with the Belgian club, and they won the league title together last season.

Former Everton ace Mirallas has now landed a big move after Pocognoli quit USG to become the new Monaco boss.

Pocognoli was appointed earlier this month, and Mirallas followed, becoming assistant manager of the Ligue 1 club.

Mirallas only became a coach at USG in November 2024, so this is a significant step at an early stage in his coaching career.

Wednesday night saw Mirallas face a Premier League club, as Tottenham Hotspur travelled to take on Monaco in the Champions League.

Eagle-eyed Everton fans may have seen Mirallas sitting on the bench alongside Pocognoli, as his coaching career continues to advance at a rapid pace.

Kevin Mirallas now coaching Paul Pogba at Monaco

Look through the Monaco squad and you will see former Premier League players throughout.

Thilo Kehrer, Denis Zakaria, Takumi Minamino, Mohammed Salisu and Ansu Fati are all in the Monaco squad after respective spells with West Ham United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Southampton and Brighton and Hove Albion.

Former Arsenal youngsters Folarin Balogun and Mika Biereth are also learning under Mirallas, and ex-Everton defender Eric Dier offers experience at the back.

The biggest name in the Monaco squad is, undoubtedly, Paul Pogba.

Pogba is back in the game after a lengthy ban and is attempting to resurrect his career with Monaco.

Mirallas will now play a key role in Pogba’s comeback, something few Everton fans could have predicted just a few years ago.
