Eagles indirectly sends warning to Adoree' Jackson, Kelee Ringo with latest move

With so much uncertainty around the Eagles' cornerback position behind Quinyon Mitchell, the Eagles got a bit of good news.

The team announced that Jakorian Bennett has been activated to return, and they provided him with a timetable for rejoining. Philly also signed Sua Opeta, an offensive lineman out of Weber State, to their practice squad.

Eagles making necessary steps in getting their secondary and offensive lines operating

With so much negative attention centered around Kelee Ringo and Adoree' Jackson, the welcomed news of Bennett's possible return within the next three weeks should give Eagles fans plenty of hope to finish out the season strong for their playoff push. Ringo and Jackson have been highlighted for giving up big plays, untimely penalties, and missed tackles in the run-fit during Bennett's absence.

With Bennett being activated to return, he'll open a 21-day window to begin participating in team activities. If he is not able to be active for game day, he'll have to revert to injured reserve and will not be able to participate throughout the rest of the season. Currently behind Mitchell, the Eagles roster includes Ringo, Jackson, Mac McWilliams, and Parry Nickerson, with Tariq Castro-Fields and Ambry Thomas on the practice squad.

The Eagles also opted to bring in Opeta, who is a seventh-year player out of Weber State, on the offensive line. Opeta returns to Philadelphia after spending the first four years of his career with the team before spending 2024 and 2025 off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' active roster and practice squad. Opeta has appeared in 38 games with 10 starts in his career, all of which came with the Eagles (2019 to 2023).
