West Ham’s attacking woes continue to define their nightmare start to the Premier League season.
The Hammers drew another blank in their 2–0 defeat to Brentford, extending a run that has seen them score just a handful of goals all season.
Problems at both ends of the pitch remain glaringly obvious, but it’s up front where Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are truly struggling.
The Irons have already been linked with the likes of Ivan Toney and Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, while reports have also tied them to Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick.
However, it now appears that another of Los Blancos’ young stars is on their radar.

According to a new report from Hammers News, West Ham are in contact with Real Madrid about potential loan deals for either Endrick or Spanish striker Gonzalo García.
García, 20, has already made seven appearances for the European champions this season — while he was also a standout performer at the Club World Cup in the summer, scoring four goals in six games against top opposition including Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.
Former Madrid striker Joselu has previously hailed García as “spectacular”, and his growing reputation has made him one of the most sought-after young forwards in Europe.
Speaking to Hammers News, transfer expert Graeme Bailey confirmed that the Hammers are pushing behind the scenes to make something happen.
“They have been and are talking to Madrid. They need to improve things for Nuno,” Bailey said. “Endrick and Garcia are players they like and, in theory, [a deal] is possible.”
However, Bailey admitted that a move for Endrick — who only officially joined Real Madrid this summer — would be difficult to pull off.
“On Endrick, we know his deal is big and would be tough. As it stands, I am told he is most likely to stay in Spain on loan. Garcia is possible, but there are a lot of clubs who want him,” he added.
A move for García would be hugely ambitious for West Ham, given his involvement with Madrid this season. Still, if the Hammers can convince Los Blancos that regular Premier League football would accelerate his development, it could be a win-win for both sides.
