Dallas Cowboys’ starting center Cooper Beebe initially was thought to have a high-ankle sprain in Week 2 against the New York Giants. However, it was later confirmed that the former third-round pick sustained a lateral ankle sprain along with a fracture of a small bone in his foot, facing a six to eight week recovery time. As a result, the Cowboys placed Beebe on injured reserve in Week 3, causing him to miss the previous five games.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Cooper Beebe returned to practice on Wednesday, prompting the Cowboys to open his 21-day practice window. The team basically has 21 days to activate the starting center; otherwise, he will revert to the season-ending injured reserve. This week’s practice will ultimately determine whether Beebe plays against the Denver Broncos, though he may not be ready until after the Week 10 BYE.
Reinforcements coming: The #Cowboys officially opened the 21-day practice windows for C Cooper Beebe, LB DeMarvion Overshown and CB Shavon Revel.
