Week 8 in the NFL is here and TSN will be showing a total of five games on the network, with NFL RedZone once again taking centre stage on Sunday afternoon.
The action this week includes a battle between heated division rivals, a franchise icon taking on his former team, and three primetime matchups.
Here is a game-by-game look at all of the matchups on TSN in Week 8, and where you can watch them on the network.
Vikings vs. Chargers - Thursday Night Football
The action kicks off with Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings taking on Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday Night Football.
Watch the Vikings take on the Chargers LIVE Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ET / 5:15 p.m. PT on TSN1/4, TSN.ca, and the TSN App.

The Vikings come into the matchup coming off a loss to the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles last time out.
Head coach Kevin O’Connell will stick with veteran quarterback Carson Wentz for at least one more game while 2024 first-round pick J.J. McCarthy continues to work his way back from a high-ankle sprain suffered in Week 2.
In four games played this year, Wentz has completed 66 per cent of his passes for 1,072 yards, five touchdowns and four interceptions while compiling a record of 2-2.
McCarthy, the team’s starter to open the season, will serve as the emergency third-string quarterback for the second consecutive game.
The Michigan product missed the entirety of his rookie season with a torn meniscus in his right knee, and will now miss his first NFL matchup against Jim Harbaugh after the pair won a national championship together in 2023.
The Chargers also enter the matchup coming off a loss after falling to the AFC’s No. 1 seed Indianapolis Colts this past Sunday.
Los Angeles opened the season with three consecutive wins all coming inside the division, including an impressive victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, but have since dropped three of their last four with another tough matchup waiting in the wings.
The Chargers have dealt with several injuries to key players this season, but have been slowly getting healthier with Khalil Mack being activated off IR last Sunday and star offensive tackle Joe Alt logging a pair of limited practices on a short week.
Herbert, the league leader in passing yards, threw for 420 yards and three touchdowns in the losing effort against the Colts, and will look to keep up his strong play against a Vikings secondary that just allowed 326 yards through the air.
Giants vs. Eagles
Sunday’s action gets underway with Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants taking on Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Watch the Giants play the Eagles LIVE Sunday at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT on TSN1, TSN.ca, and the TSN App.

These teams previously matched up two weeks ago, with Dart and fellow rookie Cam Skattebo leading the Giants to a 34-17 upset win over their NFC East rival Eagles.
After that win, the Giants appeared to be heading in the right direction following Russell Wilson’s benching in Week 4, but Brian Daboll and co. were on the wrong side of a historic collapse to the Denver Broncos last Sunday.
With just six minutes remaining in the game, the Giants held a 26-8 lead over the Broncos and looked to be on their way to a third victory in four games since handing the starting job over the Dart.
The Broncos would then stage a late rally for the ages, scoring 25 points in four consecutive drives to stun New York and steal the victory.
Giants kicker Jude McAtamney missed an extra-point attempt, his second of the game, with 37 seconds remaining, opening the door for Wil Lutz to kick a walk-off field goal for the 33-32 win.
The Eagles got back on track following back-to-back losses with a 28-22 win over the Minnesota Vikings, with Jalen Hurts posting a perfect 158.3 passer rating with 326 yards and three touchdowns.
DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown both had over 100 yards receiving for the time this season, but the run game once again struggled to get going as Saquon Barkley posted just 44 yards on 18 carries.
The 2024 Offensive Player of the Year averaged 125.3 rushing yards per game last year, but is posting just 3.3 yards per carry this season.
Barkley carried the ball 12 times for 58 yards in the Week 6 loss to the Giants, but will look for better results this time around against a defence that ranks in the bottom third of the league with 130.7 yards on the ground surrendered per game this season.

Cowboys vs. Broncos
The action continues into the late afternoon on Sunday with Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys paying a visit to Mile High for a matchup against Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos.
Watch the Cowboys take on the Broncos LIVE Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET / 1:25 p.m. PT on TSN1, TSN.ca, and the TSN App.

The Cowboys’ offence was buoyed by the return of superstar receiver CeeDee Lamb in Week 7 following a three-week absence, scoring a season-high 44 points in a blowout win over the Washington Commanders.
Lamb caught five passes for 110 yards and a touchdown, while Javonte Williams totaled 116 yards on the ground with a score as the Cowboys earned their third win of the year.
“This is the best [offence] I’ve been on, and I’ve been on some great ones,” Lamb said after the win. “The way we move around, the pieces and these players and everybody knows where we’re going. We can line up fast. It’s tough.”
“Not to knock any other group that I’ve been a part of, but the chemistry, the camaraderie, the trash talking, the emotions and passions of this unit, it’s there as much as I’ve ever seen it,” quarterback Prescott added after throwing for 264 yards and three scores.
“Who knows what we can accomplish? Like, the sky is the limit.”
The Cowboys are in position to win two games in a row for the first time this season, but they will have to beat a Broncos team that has played to a perfect 3-0 record at home.
In their historic comeback victory over the New York Giants, Nix shined in the fourth quarter with four total touchdowns, flipping the script on what was shaping up to be an underwhelming day for the second-year pro.
“I don’t even know how we scored 33 points in a quarter,” Nix said. “That’s kind of insane. You win a game like that, it’s the best thing ever.”
The Broncos have now won four games in a row, tied for the longest active streak in the league this season, and will look to keep rolling against the Cowboys.
Packers vs. Steelers - Sunday Night Football
For the first time in his storied career, Aaron Rodgers will take the field against the Packers when Green Bay battles the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football.
Watch the Steelers host the Packers LIVE Sunday at 8:15 p.m. ET / 5:15 p.m. PT on TSN1/4/5, TSN.ca, and the TSN App.

Rodgers spent 18 seasons with the Packers after being drafted 24th overall by the team in 2005, and will now get the chance to beat his former team in his first-ever matchup against Green Bay.
The 41-year-old quarterback won four MVP awards with the Packers after succeeding Brett Favre as the team’s starter, also leading his team to a Super Bowl XLV title, the fourth in franchise history.
Rodgers’ time with the franchise ended with a trade to the New York Jets ahead of the 2023 season, with Packers head coach Matt LaFleur handing the reigns over to Jordan Love.
Following a disappointing two-year tenure with the Jets, Rodgers has found his form to begin his time in Pittsburgh.
The 10-time Pro Bowler has competed 68.6 per cent of his passes while throwing for 1,270 yards with 14 touchdowns and five interceptions, leading Pittsburgh to the top of the AFC North with a 4-2 record.
Ahead of the matchup, LaFleur dispelled any of the ‘revenge game’ narratives surrounding his former quarterback.
“We’re playing the Pittsburgh Steelers, who happen to have Aaron Rodgers,” LaFleur said Monday. “It’s as simple as that. That is for you guys to talk about.
“Granted, I mean, we’ve got a lot of love and respect for Aaron. What he’s done here, I mean, he’s a Hall of Famer. And I know like our past together, we had a lot of great moments, but this game is not about that.”
The Packers narrowly escaped Week 7 with a 27-23 win over the Kyler Murray-less Arizona Cardinals, and have now won back-to-back games following a 40-40 tie against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4.
Love has thrown for 1, 438 yards in fives games played on the year, throwing 10 touchdowns to just two interceptions.
The Utah State product has now failed to throw for multiple scores in back-to-back weeks, but could be in for a big game against a Steelers secondary that allowed 470 yards of total offence to Joe Flacco and the Cincinnati Bengals last time out.
Commanders vs. Chiefs – Monday Night Football
Week 8 in the NFL comes to a close with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs playing host to the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football.
Watch the Chiefs battle the Commanders LIVE Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET / 5:15 p.m. PT on TSN1/3/4, TSN.ca, and the TSN App.

The Chiefs have gotten back to their winning ways of late, earning back-to-back victories ahead of their tilt with Washington.
Rashee Rice made his season debut after serving his six-game suspension and caught two touchdowns as Kansas City handed out a 31-0 beatdown against the Las Vegas Raiders this past Sunday.
Mahomes threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns before sitting out the entirety of the fourth quarter in the blowout win.
“We have a lot of weapons. We have a lot of guys and they all love each other, and they want each other to succeed,” said the two-time MVP. “We want to be better than what we are now but this was a good step in the right direction.”
The Chiefs scored on five consecutive drives to open the game, and limited Geno Smith and the Raiders to just 95 total yards across 10 drives.
Andy Reid’s team held steady after an 0-2 start and have now gotten back to 4-3 with a chance to tie draw even with the Broncos atop the AFC West.
The Commanders come into the matchup on a two-game slide, and will be facing an uphill climb with reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels already being ruled out for the contest.
Daniels sustained a hamstring strain in last week’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys, and will cede the start to Marcus Mariota for the third time this season.
In three games played this year, the Oregon product has thrown for 426 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions – including a pick-six in the loss to Dallas.
While Dan Quinn might be down his starting quarterback, both Deebo Samuel and Terry McLaurin have a chance to return to the lineup this week, and could provide a big boost to the offence with Mariota.
