Some high-profile diners have already visited the restaurant, but WNBA star and Missouri native Sophie Cunningham declined her request. The restaurant has performed well in its first month and has a 4.3-star rating on Google, but the $24 twice-baked potato has received some criticism.

Mahomes and Kelce's restaurant is a fancy establishment, with menu items ranging from $16 mashed potatoes to a $345 40oz Wagyu Tomahawk. Diners must also wear "business casual or dressy evening wear," but Chiefs jerseys are permitted on gamedays.
Due to the demand, securing a reservation is extremely difficult, but some have been fortunate enough to get a seat. As reflected by the Google reviews, diners have enjoyed a highly positive experience so far.

"We showed up 15 minutes prior to our scheduled time and were seated immediately. Our food came out very quickly. Loved the live entertainment," one diner wrote.
"My wife and I were lucky enough to get a reservation here. One of the nicest restaurants I’ve been to. Decor was beautiful and staff was great. The food was amazing as well," another happy customer wrote.

However, the potato sides haven't been as well received. "We ordered the twice-baked potato—since things in a box on the menu are a signature item, and this was in a box, I was excited," one review read. "Probably one of the most disappointing baked potatoes I've ever had."
Another customer commented on various food items, adding: "Food 7/10 and being gracious. Steak was not flavorful, but tender. Twice baked potato was overseasoned and looked gray.

"Fried chicken appetizer was overcooked, mashed potatoes were really whipped potatoes… like fake mashed potatoes, but had good flavor. The wedge salad was AWESOME."
One diner was extremely upset and claimed that the menu prices were unrealistic for Kansas City, instead fitting a celebrity demographic. "It’s a nice atmosphere. It’s really beautiful, but there is nothing worth the money on the menu. It’s almost insulting," they wrote.

While the restaurant is sophisticated, 1587 Prime will host a tailgate party ahead of Monday's game against the Washington Commanders. The official Instagram account announced the establishment will entertain guests before Monday Night Football.
"The Chiefs vs Commanders game at Arrowhead on October 27th just got even better! You can join 1587 Prime for a tailgate with food, music and merch in the Ford Tailgate District before the game," a post read.
