Are you watching Tuchel? Bellingham stars as Real Madrid overcome Juve

Jude Bellingham scored and put in a man-of-the-match performance as Real Madrid recorded a 1-0 victory over Juventus in Wednesday's Champions League contest at Bernabeu.

Los Blancos had 28 shots during a dominant performance, but they only managed to find the back of the net on one occasion, with Bellingham registering in the second period after Vinicius Junior's effort had come off the post.

Xabi Alonso's side occupy fifth spot in the overall Champions League table, boasting nine points from three matches, while Juventus are 25th, having only picked up two points from their first three matches.

SPORTS MOLE'S VERDICT

How Bellingham needed that.

Left out of the last England squad by Three Lions head coach Thomas Tuchel, it has been a very frustrating start to the campaign for Bellingham, who has had a slow recovery from a shoulder operation.

Bellingham played 86 minutes of the La Liga clash with Getafe at the weekend, though, and he has now completed 90 minutes for the first time this season - a very important step forward.

The former Birmingham City youngster really needed a goal to kickstart his campaign, and it was a big one, with his effort securing all three points for the European Cup kings.

Real Madrid were utterly dominant against a Juventus side that struggled to deal with the pace from the hosts, and it would have been incredibly frustrating had Los Blancos been unable to turn their dominance into all three points.
