Liverpool ruthlessly put Eintracht Frankfurt to the sword with a five-star display to stifle the scrutiny that had been growing on them following a bruising four-match losing run.

Quickfire headers from Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate - the latter of which was an absolute bullet - put daylight between Liverpool and their hosts before the break. Unfortunately for Frankfurt, Slot's men were not done.

Florian Wirtz teed up Cody Gakpo to make it four after a fine pass from Dominik Szoboszlai before the Hungary international got in the act himself with an excellent strike to make it five. Here are Mirror Football's player ratings from the big game...

Stood no chance with Frankfurt's opener. Didn't have much else to do.

Fresh setback for star who has yet to get motoring since his summer move here as he was forced off with an injury after just 19 minutes.

Nothing was stopping the defender's header to make it three. Another improved display to follow on from his performance vs Manchester United.

Liverpool captain led by example and scored Liverpool's killer second to take the game away from Frankfurt.

Great pass to set Ekitike away for the equaliser. Will have done his chances of starting again at the weekend no harm with Milos Kerkez struggling.

Grabbed a much needed assist for Liverpool's fourth. The hope will now be that the Germany star can use this to kick on.

One of Liverpool's most consistent performer this term, be it central midfield or filling in at right-back. Bagged a stunning goal and just an all round classy player.

Plenty of running alongside Szoboszlai and gave Liverpool more energy and bite in the engine room.

Goal and an assist for Gakpo, who was dangerous just as he was against Manchester United. Deserved to keep his place.

Other summer signings arrived with more fanfare but Ekitike looks head and shoulders above the rest just now. End result was never in doubt when he was played through for his goal.

Another quiet 45 minutes from the former Newcastle man. Taken off at the break, though it remains to be seen if that was a fitness call.

Came on for the unfortunate Frimpong and now has a chance to nail down a first-team berth. Got forward well and was denied a goal by two brilliant saves in either half.

Has had big impact in games off the bench this season. Didn't really need to here as others stepped up.

His omission was the big pre-match talking point. Came on when the game was done with Liverpool in cruise control.

Late substitute with the game done as a contest.

Brought on late as Konate was withdrawn by the Reds.
