Chelsea made it back-to-back wins in the Champions League on Wednesday night after beating Ajax 5-1 as Enzo Fernandez and Estevao Willian both got their names on the scoresheet.
Marc Guiu and Tyrique George also scored to help the Blues secure all three points and move up the Champions League table.
Chelsea legend Eidur Gudjohnsen was in attendance at Stamford Bridge and had his say on Fernandez’s decision to hand Estevao a penalty.
The Brazilian had no trouble converting and made the score 4-1 on the night. It was his second goal for Chelsea since joining the club from Palmeiras in the summer.

Eidur Gudjohnsen loved Enzo Fernandez and Estevao Willian moment in Chelsea vs Ajax
Already dispatching Chelsea’s first penalty of the game, Fernandez easily could have had another goal by taking his side’s second.
Instead, he gave it to Estevao in a moment that Gudjohnsen loved. “I love to see that,” the ex-Iceland international said on TNT Sports (22/10/2025 at 21:00). “I love to see this as well. What confidence in the penalty.”
Gudjohnsen’s former Chelsea teammate Joe Cole also thought Estevao’s spot-kick was a very good one, adding: “Wrapped it in, wrapped it into the top bins! He’s really going to enjoy… I’m really excited about watching him.”
The 18-year-old is one of three Brazilians in Enzo Maresca’s squad, and he could be joined by another one of his compatriots next year.
It has been claimed that Chelsea are considering Vitor Roque ahead of the January transfer window.

How many goals has Enzo Fernandez scored this season?
Last term, Fernandez transformed into a goalscoring midfielder under Maresca, and his shooting boots have not disappeared in the new campaign.
His penalty against Ajax has taken him to four goals in 11 appearances this season, which is not a bad return for a player in the Argentine’s position. And if it were not for his generosity, which Estevao benefitted from, Fernandez would probably be on five.
Before kick-off, Opta’s supercomputer predicted Chelsea to win, giving the Blues a 71.2% chance of victory.
Maresca’s side are now in a much better position in the Champions League compared to the end of matchday 1, where they lost 3-1 to Bayern Munich.
