Liverpool ended a run of four successive defeats with an emphatic Champions League win at Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday evening. Despite falling behind to a Rasmus Kristensen strike, the Reds were well ahead by the interval through goals from Hugo Ekitike, Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate before Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai netted in the second half to seal a 5-1 triumph.
The result means Arne Slot's side have now taken six points from nine in their first three games in the competition with their biggest win of the season.
The ECHO was in attendance at the Deutsche Bank Park and here we run the rule over the Liverpool players.
**Giorgi Mamardashvili 6**
Strong hand to save from Bahoya in opening stage and no chance with the Frankfurt opener, and little to do second half.
**Jeremie Frimpong 5**
Not the most convincing with some of his defensive work before being forced off through injury.
**Ibrahima Konate 7**
Continued his improvement from the weekend with some decisive interventions and great header for third. Subbed.
**Virgil van Dijk 7**
Threat from set-pieces paid off with towering header for Liverpool second and defended confidently.
**Andy Robertson 7**
Bit slack in the opening stages and could have done more to stop Kristensen scoring, but superb vision and execution to send Ekitike away to equalise. Did more than enough to keep his place at left-back.
**Dominik Szoboszlai 8**
As one of the two deeper midfielders, showed good defensive discipline but still able to set up Isak chance, and had hand in fourth before thumping in the fifth.
**Curtis Jones 8**
Wiling to put the boot in when required – even if it accidentally set up one Frankfurt chance – and moved the ball well. Excellent showing in a competition in which he thrives.
**Hugo Ekitike 8**
Started brightly enough but began to fade until racing away to show great composure in equalising. Retained level after that with another excellent outing. Subbed.
**Florian Wirtz 9**
Playing on the right but with freedom to float inside, the German was hugely influential in Liverpool taking control first half and began to enjoy himself after the break, creating goals for Gakpo and Szoboszlai.
**Cody Gakpo 8**
Worked hard down the left and cross created chance for Bradley before corner delivery set up Van Dijk goal and on hand to tap in fourth. Subbed.
**Alexander Isak 6**
Should have done better with one chance smothered by Zetterer and then forced keeper into good save. Subbed.
**Conor Bradley (for Frimpong 19) 7**
Header brilliantly saved by Zetterer and important block from Bahoya before half-time.
**Federico Chiesa (for Isak 46) 6**
Almost scored with practically his first touch and will have welcomed the minutes.
**Alexis Mac Allister (for Gakpo 74) 6**
The Argentina international kept things ticking over.
**Mohamed Salah (for Ekitike 74) 6**
Missed a couple of half-openings in his desperation to score.
**Joe Gomez (for Konate 75) 6**
A rare outing this season for the defender.
