Another Barca striker?, get him in…

Please keep him away from my football club. He's so below average and bad with the ball.

Roque is really making waves, exciting to see English clubs keeping such a close eye on him.

He is not cut out for Europe we already saw that

Roque has already been a failure in Europe

Barcelona signed the striker for an initial €40m (£34m) in the summer of 2023 but he failed to make an impact at the Camp Nou, scoring just 2 goals in 16 appearances.

Roque later went on a season-long loan to Real Betis, where he fared slightly better (scoring 7 times) before he was sold to Palmeiras for €25.5m in February earlier this year.

He has gone on to impress over the course of his first season back in Brazil, bagging 17 goals and providing 4 assists in 46 matches.

Chelsea may need to convince the player

At the moment, Roque is said to be happy at Palmeiras and he doesn’t want to risk not being selected in Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti hasn’t included him in any of his squads up until now, but the player reportedly feels his best chance of being called up is by staying where he is.
