Center Mark Williams will be coming off the bench in the Phoenix Suns’ 2025-26 season opener on Friday against the Sacramento Kings and Grayson Allen is in the starting five after dealing with left hip soreness, the team announced.
The full starting five is as follows: Devin Booker, Allen, Dillon Brooks, Ryan Dunn and Oso Ighodaro.
Phoenix had been carefully treading waters with Williams this offseason since acquiring the 23-year-old during the 2025 draft. He was not given a rookie contract extension on Monday but team owner Mat Ishbia said they didn’t trade for him “to have him for one year.”
Allen was listed as probable on the initial game injury report on Tuesday before being upgraded to available.
On the King’s side of things without star Domantas Sabonis (hamstring), they are going with a lineup of Dennis Schroder, Zach LaVine, Nique Clifford, DeMar DeRozan and former Sun Drew Eubanks.
Suns-Kings tips off at 7 p.m. and can be heard on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app.
