The Frenchman produced one of his better performances of the season in a goalless draw in the Champions League on Wednesday night, looking bright and direct when he ran with the ball on the left wing.

However, Odobert went down in the second half and required treatment on what appeared to be his rib area. Shortly after that he was replaced by Brennan Johnson.

Asked for an update on Odobert after the match, Spurs head coach Thomas Frank told reporters: "Actually, I don't know.

Odobert is yet to score or assist this season but has established himself as Tottenham’s first-choice winger on the left.

The 20-year-old has started the last four matches across all competitions, moving ahead of Johnson in the pecking order.

Improvement: Wilson Odobert has edged ahead of Brennan Johnson as Tottenham’s first-choice left winger

Dejan Kulusevski is among the longer-term absentees, while the likes of Mathys Tel and Radu Dragusin were left out of Spurs' squad for the league phase of the Champions League.
