United Airlines, in partnership with 72andSunny, has unveiled its latest campaign that touches on the fashion industry’s latest obsession: the NFL.
Fashion Month might be over, but football season is just ramping up. With the NFL recently appointing its first fashion editor, it’s clear that models aren’t the only ones dictating style anymore, and athletes are having an increasingly heavy hand in influencing trends – both on and off the field.
This season, United Airlines has made the tarmac the new runway with its new out-of-home campaign, ‘Football Flies United.’ As the official airline flying top NFL teams to their away games, United’s latest creative features NFL standouts Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs), Rome Odunze (Chicago Bears), Kyle Juszczyk (San Francisco 49ers) and Jerry Jeudy (Cleveland Browns) stepping off flights in game day looks that rival any front-row ensemble.
"For me, fashion is an extension of that Bears toughness and spirit. United helps us arrive for every matchup feeling prepared and looking sharp, no matter where the season takes us. Game day style is about more than just looking good, it’s about feeling prepared and representing the Chicago Bears. Traveling with United lets me focus on showing up in style, wherever the game takes us,” said Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears wide receiver.
“In San Francisco, we do things with style on the field and off. For me, fashion is about confidence and creativity, and it starts the moment I step off the plane. United gets our team where we need to be, so we can focus on showing up ready to compete and represent the 49ers with pride and a little West Coast flair,” said Kyle Juszczyk, San Francisco 49ers fullback.
