Enter the week with revenge against the New York Giants on their minds, the Philadelphia Eagles did not want to start the week by having one of their star players on the sidelines for practice.
Multiple Eagles reporters saw that A.J. Brown did not suit up for practice, but were unsure about why. The Eagles' first injury report of Week 8 revealed all the answers they needed to know, as Brown did not work out with a hamstring injury.
Four other players on the team also didn't practice due to injuries:
Cam Jurgens, C (Knee)
Adoree' Jackson, CB (Concussion)
Azeez Ojulari, EDGE (Hamstring)
Jeremiah Trotter Jr., LB (Ankle)
There were also five players who were listed as limited in practice:
Jakorian Bennett, CB (Pectoral)
Grant Calcaterra, TE (Oblique)
Landon Dickerson, LG (Ankle/Back)
Dallas Goedert, TE (Calf)
Moro Ojomo, DT (Shoulder)
The last name on the list is someone Eagles fans are familiar with, as Brandon Graham finally got his first practice in since unretiring. He is listed as a full participant with no injury-related issues. Graham has a two-game waiver from the NFL until he plays in a game, and the Eagles need to reduce their roster from 54 players to 53.
Brown has the attention of everyone
That cryptic post from Brown earlier in the week might start making a little more sense, as he could have easily been teasing that this was going to happen. It's just the first practice, but losing another day's work could start putting him in jeopardy of actually playing against the Giants.
Philly's offensive line is pretty banged up, as Dickerson will most likely never be fully 100% the rest of the season. Jurgens presents an interesting problem on the offensive line at center as to whether Brett Toth keeps playing center in his place, or someone like Drew Kendall, who got reps at center in training camp and preseason, could fill in.
Once again, another injury in the secondary with Jackson, as this is his second of the season. It might leave the Eagles no choice but to start Kelee Ringo with Bennett's 21-day practice window just opening, so the chances of him playing in Week 8 are pretty slim.
Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio already alluded to the fact that Ojulari is not expected to play at least for this week with his hamstring. If Graham can get up to speed quickly and be in game shape, he could be Ojulari's replacement for the Giants game.

This is a longer injury list than what the Eagles have present most of the season, so this is a team that looks like they could be limping into the bye week at the right time. They might need to fight through the Giants game and get to the bye to heal up.
