The Green Bay Packers looked like the best team in the NFL through two weeks, but even though they still have a solid record at 4-1-1, they haven’t recently looked quite like the Super Bowl favorites they were a month ago after a pair of unexceptional wins over the Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals.
The Packers need to clean things up because they have a tough matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, where Jordan Love will be squaring off against a familiar face.
USA Today’s Ryan Wood shared a clip on Wednesday of Love’s media session, where he revealed his thoughts about facing his former teammate, Aaron Rodgers.
“We’re not going against each other head to head, but obviously it’s going to be a fun game. We’re both competitors. We both want to come out with this win. So I’m just excited to see him.”

It’s the proper response from Love, who is always the consummate professional and certainly knows how important this game is for the bigger picture.
The Packers need a resounding win in the worst way after over a month of treading water, and what better team and opponent to do it against than Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers?
Pittsburgh is coming off a rough loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last Thursday and should be hungry to correct course.
However, the Steelers’ defense has been uncharacteristically porous of late, which could serve as an opportunity for Love and this offense to put together a big performance.
Love Vs. Rodgers is a fun subplot, but this game is bigger than that, and Packers fans needn’t worry that Love is going to get caught up in the drama of facing off against his former mentor.
