Liverpool broke the British transfer record to sign Newcastle United star Alexander Isak at the end of August in a move that created shockwaves across the Premier League. And now it has been revealed what the Reds are thinking about how the Swedish star has settled in.
Alexander Isak became one of Europe’s leading strikers during his time at Newcastle United, scoring 54 goals in 86 Premier League games at St. James’ Park, putting himself on the radar of various elite clubs.
Liverpool signed Alexander Isak for £125million to massively bolster Arne Slot’s striking options, and they were installed as favourites to win the top-flight title once again after the Swede’s arrival.

However, although Liverpool have yet to benefit from his talent in the league, The Athletic have detailed that the club are happy with how he has settled in.

Liverpool believe Alexander Isak has settled in well by throwing himself into fitness challenges
Alexander Isak is still waiting for his first Premier League goal in a Liverpool shirt, but he scored against Southampton in the Carabao Cup and is slowly but surely earning more minutes on Merseyside.
The 26-year-old hasn’t been helped by a lack of pre-season training. Having bided his time in the transfer window, Isak ended up training alone as he looked to force a move through and that is evident in his slow performances.
But despite not being up to speed just yet, Isak has ‘thrown himself’ into fitness programs to eventually end up as their star attacker.
Speaking on The Athletic FC podcast, Liverpool correspondent Andy Jones said: “I mean, the main thing is that they’ve been playing him, ultimately, because they could have sort of fed him in.
“But they’ve tried to give him as much football as possible. I think the general feeling is he settled well.
“You know, he’s got on with the group of players.
“I think [Virgil] van Dijk’s been quite important in trying to help him settle.
“And, you know, he threw himself into the fitness program that Liverpool set up for him to try and get him up to speed as quickly as possible.”
Once Isak gets up and running, there will almost be no doubt that he will be one of the Premier League’s top strikers once again.

Liverpool are happy with Alexander Isak’s quality but he’s second in the pecking order
Although he’s not shown in on the pitch often, Liverpool are happy with Isak’s quality off the pitch.
However, those lack of minutes have seen £78million star Hugo Ekitike come into the first team and he has been on fire since his move from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Eight starts in all competitions has seen him register seven goal contributions, including a superb strike in the Champions League against his former side on Wednesday.
With three goals in the Premier League, he’s joint-top with Cody Gakpo for the Reds in the standings and having breezed into life in England, Isak will now have his work cut out to earn his starting spot given he’s played 271 fewer minutes than his French counterpart.
The two started up front together against Frankfurt, but with Arne Slot confirming that Isak had been withdrawn due to a persisting groin niggle, Ekitike scoring at the weekend could push Isak even further back in his bid to be the star man up front.
