Daniel Farke
Daniel Farke and his Leeds United team are feeling the heat after back-to-back Premier League defeats. More than the result, the 2-0 defeat at Burnley exposed some of the obvious frailties in the team, which include an inability to score goals.
Leeds are 15th in the Premier League standings, and some of their early-season performances showed that they could be more than competitive and resilient in the top flight.

However, resilience, grit and determination could only take you as far as the top level without real quality. The Whites have struggled in the final third, and their inability to finish off the chances has haunted them in several games already this season.
They should not have lost at Fulham, and should have beaten Bournemouth and Tottenham. Even against Burnley, they were unable to take their chances and were punished at the other end.
Leeds are now in desperate need of a result against West Ham on Friday night, and a failure to do so could put Farke under real pressure.
The 49ers have a decision to make on Daniel Farke
The 49ers have massive plans for Leeds United, which include taking the club’s valuation to breach the £1bn mark. However, all this will depend on the Yorkshire giants establishing themselves in the Premier League.
Premier League survival will be crucial for the club’s future. The owners would not want any threat to the club’s status in the top flight this season.
A defeat at West Ham on Friday night could lurch the club into a crisis as back-to-back defeats against relegation rivals could be the tipping point for the 49ers.
They backed Farke in the summer when several observers suggested that Leeds should bring in a more Premier League-proven manager despite the German earning them promotion.
However, patience will be running thin at Leeds if results do not improve soon, and Farke is on a much shorter leash in the top flight, compared to his reputation in the Championship.
The 49ers may have a huge decision to make if Leeds do not get a positive result against West Ham at Elland Road on Friday night.
They would prefer to keep him at Leeds
Farke is under pressure at Elland Road, and things could come to a head if Leeds do not get a good result against West Ham this week.
However, the 49ers do not have the appetite to sack the German and carry out a managerial change at Elland Road in the middle of the season.
They had to do the same at Rangers, and the process of sacking and replacing Russell Martin was not a pleasant one. The board showed a lack of planning and was rejected by a couple of top targets before Danny Rohl was appointed.
Leeds have been linked with former Derby boss Liam Rosenior, who has been doing well at Strasbourg. However, they are not keen to sack the Whites boss.
The 49ers admire Farke for helping Leeds return to the Premier League and creating a more stable environment behind the scenes, despite the challenges around Leeds.
They do not want to destabilise the situation yet. However, a bad result against West Ham could force the 49ers into doing something they do not want to do.
