The Eagles (5-2) have opened a bit of a lead over the Cowboys (3-3-1), Commanders (3-4), and Giants (2-5) by breaking their two-game losing streak. The Cowboys are coming on strong, but the Commanders and Giants are both falling apart a bit as we head into Week 8. Let’s take a look at where we stand in the NFC East Divisional Power Rankings after seven weeks of the NFL season.

While Saquon Barkley still hasn’t done much this season, the Eagles passing attack finally got back on track in their 28-22 win over the Vikings. The Eagles defense has been great at times and has major lapses at others, so that’s a key area of focus for them to tighten up as they gear up for their Super Bowl defense.

#2 Dallas Cowboys (3-3-1)

The Cowboys have had a strange season in that their offense is one of the best in the league, while their defense is one of the worst in the league. With CeeDee Lamb now back in the fold on offense, the Cowboys really miss Micah Parsons on defense right now.
#3 Washington Commanders (3-4)

The Commanders have now lost two straight as they continue to deal with injuries. After missing both Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel in the loss to the Cowboys, the Commanders may now be without Jayden Daniels as he deals with a hamstring injury.
#4 New York Giants (2-5)

The Giants were this close to being tied for third with the Commanders at 3-4, but they couldn’t hold off a last-second win by the Broncos. Jaxson Dart has been playing great, but the Giants are going to be hard-pressed to get out of the basemen at this point.

What’s Next?
The Eagles will host the Giants as they attempt to get revenge for their Week 6 loss, while the Cowboys head to Denver to take on a tough Broncos defense. The Commanders have a Monday Night Football matchup in Kansas City and are staring at a 3-5 start. If the Eagles can take care of business at home, there’s a very good chance they’ll have even more breathing room in the division next week.
