West Ham’s goal-scoring problems continue to haunt them this season.
A 2–0 defeat to Brentford summed up their struggles in front of goal — with Lucas Paquetá and Jarrod Bowen standing as their only consistent attacking threats.
With Michail Antonio departing, Callum Wilson yet to find his rhythm, and Niclas Füllkrug injured again, it’s no surprise that Nuno Espírito Santo is urging the board to bring in fresh attacking firepower this January.
The club have been linked with a string of forwards, including Ivan Toney, Joshua Zirkzee, and Real Madrid’s Endrick.
And now, it appears that a major breakthrough has been made in their pursuit of the latter.

According to a new report from TBR Football, West Ham United and Real Madrid are in agreement over the structure of a potential loan deal for Brazilian wonderkid Endrick.
The report claims that after internal talks in Madrid, both Real and the player are aligned in believing a loan move is the best next step for his development — with clubs across Europe now informed that the teenager could be available on a temporary basis.
Endrick, who has yet to feature for Los Blancos this season, could use the opportunity to gain vital first-team experience without stalling his long-term progression in Spain.
For West Ham, it would represent a rare chance to add one of the world’s most exciting young forwards to their struggling attack.
On top of their Endrick interest, the east London club are also keeping tabs on his Madrid teammate Gonzalo García — the breakout star of the Club World Cup after scoring four goals in six matches.
TBR Football adds that West Ham have already made enquiries about García, with the player himself believed to be open to a Premier League move.
With Nuno pushing hard for attacking reinforcements, the idea of landing two Real Madrid prospects in one window may seem optimistic — but if even one deal materialises, it could transform the Hammers’ season.
