NFL Bold Predictions for Week 8

If you boldly predicted that Joe Flacco would finish with the second most passing yards in Week 7 in his just his second game with the team… Then allow me to give you a round of applause. Here are the top 10 bold predictions for Week 8 of NFL action.

Saquon Barkley Rushes for 100 Yards and Two Scores in Revenge Game Against New York Giants

Last season, this prediction wouldn’t have been all that bold, but Saquon Barkley is off to a very slow start this season, with just 3.3 rushing yards per game.

In fact, he doesn’t have a single 100-yard rushing game through his first seven tries this year.

Expect that to change against his former team — which held him to just 58 rushing yards two weeks ago — with a vintage Saquon Barkley performance on Sunday.

Baltimore Ravens Drop 52 Points on the Chicago Bears

The potential return of Lamar Jackson under center for Baltimore needs to be this team’s saving grace. What better way to do that than to generate seven touchdowns and a field goal — for good measure — on a Bears’ defense that gives up an average of 350 yards and 26 points per game in 2025.

Oronde Gadsden Tops 100 Receiving Yards for a Second Straight Week

Seven receptions for 164 yards and a score is what you can describe as a breakout game for Los Angeles Chargers rookie TE Oronde Gadsden.

People were a bit skeptical about his jump in receiving production in Week 6 — seven receptions for 68 yards — because Quentin Johnston was unavailable for that contest.

Well, Gadsden’s big day on Sunday came with Johnston, Ladd McConkey, and Keenan Allen all in the lineup.

This kid is a matchup nightmare, which could come in handy for a few big plays against Brian Flores’ aggressive defense in Minnesota.

Kansas City Chiefs Score Two Defensive Touchdowns Against Washington

The injury to Jayden Daniels means the Washington Commanders will be forced to turn to Marcus Mariota again under center, which is a salivating thought for Steve Spagnuolo and a red-hot Chiefs’ defense.

Mariota threw a comically bad pick six and was sacked twice against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday…. when he played just 31% of the offensive snaps.

This high-pressure defense could make this a very rough day at the office for Mariota in Week 8.

Both Tyrod Taylor and Justin Fields See Action Against the Cincinnati Bengals

New York Jets HC Aaron Glenn appears to be in over his head right now. Just one week ago, he looked almost offended when asked if Justin Fields was his starter — only to bench him at halftime of the very next game. Now, he won’t reveal who his starting quarterback is to maintain a competitive advantage against Cincinnati.

Glenn is desperate for a spark on this team, which means I could see a bit more flip-flopping under center while the offense continues to struggle as an entire unit.

Javonte Williams Leads Dallas to Big Upset Over Denver in Revenge Game

The Dallas Cowboys saw firsthand what a slighted running back can do playing against his former team when Rico Dowdle torched their squad a couple weeks ago.

The Denver offense has not fully found its footing yet, which could make it difficult for the Broncos to keep pace with a high-powered Dallas Cowboys offense — which will feed Williams against his former team enough for him to find the end zone on two occasions this week.

Aaron Rodgers Has 300+ Yards and 3 TDs Against Stingy Packers’ Defense

Aaron Rodgers may say this isn’t a revenge game, but there is no way I can be convinced he wants to win with style points on Sunday.

The Packers pass rush is dangerous, but Rodgers has been getting the ball out of his hands so quickly this year that the former long-time Packer manages to deliver a vintage performance to beat his heir apparent on a national stage.

Falcons Rush for Over 200 Yards Against Miami

The vibe checks in Miami are pretty embarrassing. Tua Tagovailoa can’t get players to attend players-only meetings… Mike McDaniel is making sarcastic comments about his quarterback being expected not to throw 10 picks during a press conference… And Darren Waller was just sent to IR.

The one thing this run defense — which is allowing a league high 159 rushing yards per game this season — didn’t need to deal with this week was Bijan Robinson. Unfortunately, that is the exact card the Dolphins were dealt for Week 8.

Robinson should torch this Dolphins defense on his own, but Tyler Allegeir is no slouch either.

If this game gets lopsided quickly, then don’t be surprised if Atlanta creates enough explosive plays on the ground to rush for over 200 yards in this contest.

This is Mike McDaniel’s Final Game as the Head Coach of the Miami Dolphins

After benching Tua last week in favor of Quinn Ewers, there are simply no more moves left to be made other than to part ways with the head coach.

Mike McDaniel looks miserable right now and feels like he has lost the team.

A dynamic offensive performance by Atlanta and more struggles from Tua under center could seal the fate of a young head coach who once showed so much promise in Miami.

Jalen Coker Finds the Endzone Twice for Carolina

The Buffalo Bills are chomping at the bit to get back on the football field to snap their two-game losing streak after the bye week. This could be a bit problematic for the red-hot Carolina Panthers, who could be without starting quarterback Bryce Young for this matchup.

However, if the Bills jump out to an early lead against Carolina, it could finally get Jalen Coker reintegrated back into the offense should the Panthers have to throw the ball to keep pace with Josh Allen.

Coker played just 37% of the offensive snaps and failed to catch either of his targets in his return to the field in Week 7. Expect his role to expand significantly this week, which could be a recipe for a breakout game with veteran Andy Dalton under center, who could be looking for a reliable slot option in a potentially negative game script.
