Man Utd have trained ahead of their clash with Brighton in the Premier League this weekend.

Manchester United youngster JJ Gabriel trained with the first team on Thursday ahead of their clash with Brighton in the Premier League this weekend.

The 15-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest talents in the club's illustrious academy and has already been dubbed the 'next Neymar' due to his immense technical ability. Gabriel idolises the Brazilian forward and has modelled his personal game on emulating the star.

United have been keen to ease the expectations on the teenage sensation, though he has been fast-tracked into their U18 side this season, where he has seven goals and one assist in just six appearances. He has 10 goals in nine appearances in total for the U18 side since he made his debut last season.

JJ Gabriel could make Manchester United debut soon

Ruben Amorim watched videos of JJ Gabriel during internal flights on Manchester United's pre-season tour of the United States and he got a closer look at him during first-team training this week.

JJ Gabriel took to social media on Thursday afternoon to confirm he trained with the first-team squad ahead of their Premier League home match against Brighton this weekend. It is understood that the teenager took part in an 11 vs 11 intrasquad friendly at the club’s Carrington training complex.

The 15-year-old has been tipped to make his senior debut next year, as United look to secure his long-term future and convince him he would be better off remaining at Old Trafford. Gabriel has attracted interest from several elite clubs who would all jump at the chance to sign him if he opted to leave Manchester.

Gabriel is not expected to be involved for United when they face Brighton this weekend, but he is firmly on Amorim's radar and could earn a debut if he continues his fine form. There is even a chance the teenager could become the youngest player to feature for the club, a record held by David Gaskell, who made his debut at the age of 16 years and 19 days back in 1956.
