West Ham suffered another defeat at the London Stadium on Monday October 20.
A 2-nil loss to Brentford meant the Hammers are remain winless at home this season. Their only win this year came 3-nil away to Nottingham Forest.
With eight games played and just four points on the board, West Ham sit 19th on the table.
And despite sacking Graham Potter and replacing him with Nuno Espirito Santo, things don't seem to be getting better.
But it may not be solely down to the manager.
As a side, West Ham have looked less than spirited on the pitch with only a handful of players seemingly giving it their all.
Club captain Jarred Bowen is arguably the most passionate in performance and has been West Ham's only consistent goalscorer this season.
There's a lot of noise around the club, from managerial issues to fans unhappiness with the board.
Fans have been protesting and boycotting over the running of the club, leaving seats empty in the London Stadium. And a lack of positive results has only furthered the blow.
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher called West Ham "one of the slowest teams (he's) seen in the Premier League".
And the statistics have backed it up. They have been unable to cover ground, have possession of the ball, been down to 10-men, lacking in speed and intensity.
They've overall looked lacklustre on the pitch and it's looking more than likely that they'll be dropping down to the Championship - if they keep up this performance.
Nuno has a major task on his hands and one that many hope he can turn around.
He produced a brilliant season for Nottingham Forest over 2023/24, before being sacked due to a falling out with club owner Evangelos Mariankis.
West Ham looked like a task for Nuno to conquer, but so far he's not been able to show what he's capable of as a manager.
He's continued to use the backroom staff left by Graham Potter in order to better know his new squad, but it might be time for the boss to deliver tough love and take a sledgehammer to the club, building it anew.
The Portuguese manager has admitted to the task at hand and the need for patience, but time is fleeting in the Premier League.
Nuno will need to shake things up and deliver results immediately to return the East London club to safety, before they are relegated for the first time since 2011.
