During NBC’s return to the NBA broadcasting game, Mike Tirico sat down with Jordan and the two discussed how long it’s been since the former Chicago Bulls legend picked up a basketball. Jordan went into detail about the amazing story of when he recently shot a ball for the first time in years during a trip to the Ryder Cup.

Jordan spoke about renting a house out for the prestigious golf tournament and that the owners of the home wanted to do a meet-and-greet with him and their kids. That prompted one of them to ask Jordan if he would take a free throw for their kids to watch.
“I haven’t picked up a ball in years,” Jordan told Tirico. “I rented a house … and the owner had a basketball court. He says ‘I want you to shoot one free throw…’ When I stepped up to shoot the free throw it’s the most nervous I’ve ever been.”
