Everton’s Tyler Dibling names the best player he has ever played with in his entire career

Everton’s teenage winger Tyler Dibling has admitted that the best player he’s ever played with was at Southampton.

David Moyes has high hopes for Tyler Dibling and is keen to help him play for England’s senior team one day.

Dibling is still on the fringes of the Everton first-team as Moyes is keen for him to learn his trade at a steady pace and analyse the more senior players like Jack Grealish.

Finch Farm is a great environment for the 19-year-old to grow, as he’s surrounded by some really talented footballers.

But, Dibling reckons his former Saints teammate is even better than the likes of Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye.

Tyler Dibling says Adam Lallana is the best player he’s ever played with

Dibling has played alongside some brilliant players during his short career, most notably at Everton and with the England under-21s.

The Toffees star plies his trade alongside the likes of Ethan Nwaneri, Jamie Gittens and Rico Lewis with Lee Carsley’s side.

But, when asked by Pro Direct Soccer who the best player he’s ever played with is, Dibling responded: “Adam Lallana.”

Lallana was coming towards the end of his career when he played with Dibling at Southampton, but clearly the 34-cap England international made a big impression.

The 37-year-old playmaker retired in the summer after playing over 300 times in the Premier League, netting 33 goals and laying on 34 assists.

Russell Martin said Adam Lallana had a big influence on Tyler Dibling

Speaking to the Daily Echo in September 2024, then Southampton manager Russell Martin explained how Dibling was learning all the time from Lallana.

“It can only benefit Tyler (Dibling) – but only if he’s willing to learn and be receptive to Adam (Lallana), which he is,” Martin said.

“Fortunately for us, all the young guys are. They are brilliant. We are fortunate to have Adam and we will use him in the best way we can, on and off the pitch.”

Dibling has also admitted he takes inspiration from Eden Hazard and actually wanted the number 17 shirt because it was the number the former Chelsea winger once wore.
