The writing is on the wall as far as Endrick’s immediate future at Real Madrid is concerned, with the young striker struggling to break into Xabi Alonso’s plans.
Since returning from injury in September, the 19-year-old striker has failed to make a single appearance for Los Blancos, leading to talks of a January loan departure.
The speculations have further been fueled by Endrick’s father, Douglas Sousa, who hinted at a potential January departure for the Brazilian on social media, even urging his former club, Palmeiras, to make a move.
“Palmeiras should make an offer, (present) a project,” Endrick’s father wrote as a comment on a post.
Palmeiras will not pursue Endrick
Building on that, UOL Esporte (h/t SPORT) in Brazil reports that Endrick’s father’s comment reached the Palmeiras board.
However, the Brazilian club understands that the teenager’s priority remains continuing his career in European football, and therefore no negotiations will be initiated.

Palmeiras would be fully interested in bringing their former player back but consider the operation very complicated, and thus will not pursue any move in January.
Interestingly, if Endrick were to return to Palmeiras, he would share a team with Vitor Roque, who has rediscovered his best form in his home country after a failed stint at Barcelona and has already scored 13 goals in 26 league matches.
After all the comparisons made between the two players in recent years, it would undoubtedly be an unexpected sight.
Nonetheless, Endrick’s future appears to lie in Europe, with several teams willing to sign him on loan come the January transfer window.
It remains to be seen where the 19-year-old striker ends up as he seeks to get back to playing regularly in hope of earning a place in the Brazil national team squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
