**Ever since Newcastle United signed Sandro Tonali from AC Milan, the media in Italy have refused to accept the reality that not only did it actually happen, but the Italian international is actually settled and happy on Tyneside.**
Not a week goes by without some journalist in Tonali's homeland coming up with a story about his return home. Despite having zero evidence to suggest it, they often cite homesickness as a reason for him wanting to return to Italy.
Tonali himself has often said that he would like to return to Italy one day, but has made it clear that it won't be any time in the near future.
His signing of a new contract until 2030 has knocked the stuffing out of the Italian media, it seems, but we're sure it won't keep them down for long.

Loved in their home nations but they're OURS!
Bayern Munich let their primary summer target slip through their fingers
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Similarly, since Nick Woltemade joined Newcastle from Stuttgart for a club-record fee, there has been much talk about the move in his native Germany.
Bayern Munich, in particular, have been very vocal about the move, seemingly very upset at missing out on their primary target after failing to meet Stuttgart's valuation of the striker.
They even went as far as to brand Newcastle as 'idiots' for forking over that much money for the player they courted all summer. Woltemade has started brilliantly in life in Newcastle, so we certainly don't feel like idiots.
German media are already trying to bring Nick Woltemade home
------------------------------------------------------------
Now, [BILD journalist Christian Falk](https://bulinews.com/woltemade-won-rule-out-bayern-move-both-milan-clubs-interested-kim-bild) (via BuliNews) has written about how Nick Woltemade has left the door open to a move to Bayern Munich after missing out in the summer. Woltemade was keen on the switch, but Bayern's refusal to meet Stuttgart's asking price made the deal fall apart, and Newcastle swooped in.
The 6'6" striker has barely even got his boots tied at Newcastle, and the stories have started about him returning home. It's all very Tonali.
At least Falk has the common sense to know that if a return to Germany is on the cards for Woltemade, it will be a few years down the line yet.
