The NBA world has been turned on its head after a massive sports gambling investigation officially came to light Thursday when the FBI dropped information leading to the arrests of Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier.

However, more details are now emerging from the Billups case, which also involves former NBA star Damon Jones. Reports indicate that the two allegedly set up “rigged poker games” that involved the use of X-ray machines, contact lenses and glasses that can read marked cards and had cameras built into card trays.

While the situation is still unfolding, there are lots of concerns from the league about gambling and sports betting, which even prompted league commissioner Adam Silver to discuss the issues on The Pat McAfee Show earlier this week.
There will certainly be more that evolves with their respective cases, but the NBA undoubtedly has a problem on its hands if more names come out in the future. With the spotlight already on the league after Jontay Porter’s infamous case that eventually led to his ban, Silver is in a tough position with the season only just beginning.
