Marcus Rashford is enjoying life at Barcelona, after joining them on loan from Manchester United in the summer.
The La Liga winners were looking for an attacker who can play on the left and also up front. The 27-year-old fits the bill and has had a quick impact.
Since September’s international break, the Manchester United player has starred for Barca. In nine matches he’s scored four goals and contributed six assists. This includes a brace in their 2-1 Champions League win over Newcastle United.
The England international has been speaking to Barcelona’s official YouTube channel and Sport have relayed his comments.
Rashford says change of surroundings and his new teammates has helped him adapt quickly at Barcelona. He also remains hopeful of staying at the Camp Nou for long.
“I’m really enjoying my time in Spain. The weather is the best part. It’s a very big change. I’m learning every day, I’m really enjoying it. I hope to be here for a long time,” he said.
“I get along really well with Roony, as well as Jules and Frenkie. It’s a team where we all blend together. We’re united. The team is fantastic. I just have to be in the right position. I’ll keep trying to do this. We have to keep going like this to be our best. We have a lot more to do this season.”
Manchester United bargain deal available
Barca have agreed a purchase option with Manchester United as part of the loan.
Marca on Thursday report the buying option is set at €30m. This is an ‘excellent price’ if his performances are taken into account.
Hansi Flick’s side are yet to make a final decision on buying the 27-year-old. This could be made after evaluating his performances in the coming months.
For now, Marca report ‘everything points to’ Barca extending his stay beyond this season.
