Newcastle United keeping tabs on £60m Everton star with four goal contributions so far this…

**Newcastle United are window shopping for more reinforcements with the January transfer window growing ever closer.**

We don't expect Newcastle to go big in January, but there may be a player or two brought in, depending on the club's needs at the time.

That's not stopping them from looking around, though, and it's likely that they also have an eye on the summer window where player trading is generally a little bit easier.

The latest rumour surrounds Newcastle being linked with a Premier League player, which would be far more difficult to do in January, so their reported interest in Everton's Iliman Ndiaye may be more of a summer thing.

Newcastle are being linked with an interest in Iliman Ndiaye

According to [TEAMTalk](https://www.teamtalk.com/everton/illiman-ndiaye-targeted-by-five-clubs-gargantuan-price-tag-set), several clubs, including another Premier League side, are monitoring the Everton star after a strong start to the campaign with the Toffees, that's seen him nab three goals and an assist already.

Ndiaye signed for Everton from Marseille for £15 million last summer, but it's now expected that they will want at least £60 million for the right winger who has flourished under David Moyes.

The 25-year-old is being tracked by big names in Europe, such as AC Milan and Juventus, as well as Tottenham and Newcastle.

There are reasons a January move could happen for Newcastle and Iliman Ndiaye

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

TEAMTalk suggests the lure of Champions League football could force this move to happen in January, and if Anthony Elanga hasn't started to produce for the Magpies, there is a possibility it may happen.

Elanga's solitary assist in 12 appearances for Newcastle this season hasn't exactly reflected the £55 million fee we paid for him, and we can only wait so long for him to get up to speed.

If things don't start happening for the Swedish winger soon, then we can fully believe Newcastle will be shopping for alternatives.
