Jack Grealish names who his best friend at Everton is now

Jack Grealish has settled into life at Everton seamlessly and is clearly a well-liked member of the dressing room.

The Everton winger looks back to his best and is currently topping the assists charts in the Premier League with four in seven appearances.

The key factor in Grealish’s resurgence has been pretty simple; he’s enjoying his football again and has the license to express himself under David Moyes.

Of course, he’s helped by having a great group around Finch Farm, and he’s recently been speaking about who his closest friends are at the club.

Jack Grealish says Jordan Pickford is his closest friend

Speaking on Everton’s YouTube channel, Grealish admitted that his best friend is Jordan Pickford, but there are three others who he’s close with.

“My best friend in the Everton squad I would say I’m probably closest with Pickers obviously because I’ve known him a while,” the 39-cap England international said.

“Tom King also I get on really well with, just a funny guy. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall yeah I’d say and I get on really well with Jake O’Brien as well actually. He’s a funny guy.”

Evidently, Grealish’s friendship with Dewsbury-Hall, in particular, has really helped their chemistry on the pitch.

Take the goal at Wolves, for example. Grealish combined superbly with the former Chelsea playmaker, who finished in style.

Jordan Pickford actually played a role in getting Jack Grealish to join Everton

Speaking to The Telegraph back in August, Pickford actually revealed that he played a role in convincing Grealish to leave Manchester City for Everton.

“I’m good friends with Jack and when I heard the rumour, I sent him a couple of messages,” the 31-year-old said.

“He asked what the club is like, what it is like around the place, and I said if you come you will love it. I had a couple of conversations with him and then I saw a tweet (suggesting a deal was agreed), so I just rang him.

“I was on the golf course and said, ‘When are you coming?’ He said it was pretty much all done. I was like: that’s a box ticked!

“I said the place is brilliant, the lads are great, the staff, people say it is the People’s Club and it is a proper home club.”
