Week 8 of the NFL season begins on Thursday night with a matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Chargers.

Several of fantasy football’s top wide receivers are either injured or on a bye week, including Puka Nacua, Amon-Ra St Brown, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, so you may need to perform some surgery on your lineup.

Last week, I mentioned Chris Olave (26.8 FPTS), Rashee Rice (23.2 FPTS), and Courtland Sutton (16.7 FPTS) as must-start wide receivers. To go along with our list of must-start quarterbacks and running backs, I highlighted five pass-catchers you should have in your fantasy football lineup for Week 8.

Cortland Sutton (vs Dallas Cowboys)

Until the Cowboys defense proves itself as anything but a bottom-of-the-barrel unit, I will be suggesting you start any WR1 facing them each week. This week, that player is Broncos wide out Courtland Sutton.

Sutton hauled in six catches for 87 yards in Denver’s miraculous Week 7 comeback win over the New York Giants, and the 30-year-old should have plenty more opportunities to feast against a Cowboys defense that allows the most passing yards per game (260.3) this season.

Michael Pittman (vs Tennessee Titans)

The Colts offense is firing on all cylinders right now, and Michael Pittman is one of the most consistent performers on Shane Steichen’s offense.

Starting in 78% of Sleeper leagues, Pittman must be in your lineup ahead of Indy’s Week 8 game against the lowly Titans.

Zay Flowers (vs Chicago Bears)

Flowers should be an auto-start if Lamar Jackson returns from injury, which is looking more likely after the two-time MVP was a limited participant in practice for the first time in over three weeks.

The Ravens are desperate for Jackson to come back ahead of their matchup against the Bears, who allow the sixth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers (24.5).

Matthew Golden (at Pittsburgh Steelers)

Golden faces a Pittsburgh defense that allows the 8th-most pass yards per game at home this season (230.5). After getting ripped apart by Joe Flacco and the Bengals last Thursday night, there’s no reason the Jordan Love-led Packers offense can’t do the same.

I am eyeing Green Bay rookie Matthew Golden to continue his promising form, and he could be aided by the return of deep threat Christian Watson (ACL), who can open up opportunities underneath for the rookie

Wandale Robinson (at Philadelphia Eagles)

Robinson has emerged as Jaxson Dart’s top target following the season-ending injury to Malik Nabers in Week 4. This season, the Kentucky product is rated at WR19 in PPR format.

Robinson has back-to-back games with 15+ fantasy points, including an impressive 6/84/1 line in New York’s Week 6 upset over the Eagles.
