Everton fans may spot a familiar face coming up against Harrison Armstrong on Friday night as Preston North End face Sheffield United.
Harrison Armstrong has emerged as one of Everton’s top young talents and possibly one of the club’s finest prospects in recent times.
That is why Everton fans love to see how Armstrong is faring in his latest loan move, having joined Preston North End on deadline day.
Friday presents a great chance for Everton fans to tune in and watch Armstrong in action, as PNE host Sheffield United at Deepdale.
Sky Sports will show the game, and Everton fans may fancy taking a look at Armstrong’s display.

Harrison Armstrong could face former Everton midfielder Tom Davies
David Moyes watched Armstrong from the stands as PNE lost 1-0 to Birmingham City on Tuesday night.
North End have a chance to hit back against Sheffield United, and Armstrong could come up against a former Everton man in the midfield battle.
Former Toffees talent Tom Davies will be in contention for the Blades, having overcome a recent injury.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Injury setbacks have plagued Davies throughout his career, but he is back in the mix for the Blades’ trip to Lancashire.
Davies came up in the Everton ranks, just like Armstrong, and he racked up almost 200 first-team appearances for the Toffees.
The midfielder really broke through during the 2016-17 season and looked destined for a fine career at Goodison Park.
That didn’t quite happen, though, which shows the difficulty of sustaining a top Premier League career.
Davies departed for Sheffield United in 2023 and has continued to struggle with injuries at Bramall Lane.
Whether Davies starts Friday’s game remains to be seen, but he could feature directly across from Armstrong, either from the start or off the bench.
Former Everton striker Tom Cannon could also face Harrison Armstrong
Armstrong vs Davies could be an interesting battle in midfield, but other former Everton players will also be on show.
PNE trio Lewis Gibson, Thierry Small and Lewis Dobbin all spent time in the Everton ranks and could start.
On the Sheffield United side, striker Tom Cannon may feature against his former side.
Everton loaned Cannon to PNE in 2023, and he couldn’t stop scoring during his time at Deepdale.
Cannon was sold to Leicester City just months later as Everton cashed in on the forward.
Cannon struggled at Leicester, excelled on loan at Stoke City and is now 10 league games without a goal this season.
The 22-year-old may not be in great form, but he is a player Armstrong and his PNE teammates must be wary of ahead of Friday’s clash.
