The Philadelphia Eagles still haven’t quite found their groove yet this season as they look to recapture the form that led to their dismantling of the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, which brought the Lombardi Trophy back to Philadelphia for the second time in franchise history.
However, the Eagles’ win over the Minnesota Vikings last weekend snapped a two-game losing streak and showed just how lethal Philadelphia’s offense could be when everything was clicking, as franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts had an exceptional day throwing the ball.
Unfortunately for Hurts and the Eagles, it’s looking increasingly likely that they’ll have to figure out a way to beat the New York Giants on Sunday without the services of their top wide receiver, per one prominent league insider.
“For a second straight day, Eagles WR A.J. Brown is not practicing due to a hamstring injury,” ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on thursday.
Fans reacted to the brutal development on social media.
“Well hopefully they could rely on Saquon since they’re going against his old team again,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Brown sitting out again is a big concern the Eagles’ passing game could take a hit if he can’t return soon,” someone else added.
“Oh no heaven forbid they actually hand the ball off and block for Barkley for a week,” another fan wrote.
It’ll be interesting to see if Brown is healthy enought to go for Sunday’s game.
