Barcelona star Gavi has moved to make clear his ongoing support for teammate and midfield partner Fermín López.
This of course comes fresh off a night to remember for the latter on Wednesday.
Fermín and Gavi, as will be well known to those of a Barcelona persuasion, took their respective places front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital this past summer.
As much came after a round of reports were forthcoming in Spain, surrounding an alleged serious falling out between the two long-time friends.
At one point, it was even claimed that Gavi had [called for his teammate](https://www.goal.com/en/lists/furious-gavi-allegedly-asks-for-barcelona-team-mate-to-be-put-on-transfer-list-after-heated-argument/bltd0b1dcec17ed778a) to be sold at the earliest opportunity.
Fermín since [moved to deny](https://www.goal.com/en/lists/fermin-lopez-denies-girlfriend-clash-gavi-barcelona-dressing-room-feud-childhood-friends/bltc74af2444eb28b0f) any lingering bad feelings between the pair during a recent interview.
And as alluded to above, this week, Gavi has followed suit, albeit in a more subtle manner.
After watching his fellow midfielder notch a hat-trick en route to Barcelona’s Champions League victory over Olympiacos on Wednesday, the 21-year-old responded to Fermín’s latest Instagram post, with a simple ‘like’:
