Andy Reid has been leading the Kansas City Chiefs for years, known as one of the top coaches in the NFL.
Reid is looking to take the Chiefs to their fourth straight Super Bowl appearance during the 2025-26 season. During his time in Kansas City, he’s led the team to three Super Bowl titles with the help of quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
While the Chiefs are in rhythm, riding a two-game win streak heading into Week 8, Kansas City is missing a key starter.
Chiefs offensive lineman Josh Simmons has been missing from the lineup for what the team has called “personal reasons.”
Simmons has been away from the team, leaving fans and media personnel to question the Chiefs star’s timeline and availability.
On Thursday, Reid issued an update on the situation.
“He’s just taking care of business,” Reid said. “When you deal with this, that’s what you do.”
Josh Simmons is currently in his rookie season with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was drafted by Andy Reid and the front office after helping the Ohio State Buckeyes win a national title in his final season of college football.
Simmons was drafted with the No. 32 overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

While the Kansas City Chiefs are missing their star rookie, Patrick Mahomes has had a phenomenal start to the season, helping his team be successful despite the roster woes.
So far this season, Mahomes has posted 14 touchdowns and 1,800 yards with a 66.1 completion percentage.
