Warriors vs. Nuggets: The matchup
This early-season matchup showcases two returning Western Conference playoff teams, as well as a pair of NBA greats from the modern era. Curry will go down as perhaps the most prolific shooter to ever play the game and already has more career 3-pointers (4,061) than any other player in league history. But Jokic is one of the game’s all-time most unique players, combining the post skills of a center with the passing of a point guard and the range of a shooting guard.

Jokic and the Nuggets went 50-32 last season to finish fourth in the Western Conference, and they reached the West semifinals before falling to the eventual NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder in seven games. Though he had come close on previous occasions, Jokic averaged a season-long triple-double for the first time, averaging 29.6 points, 12.7 rebounds and 10.2 assists while shooting 57.6% from the floor and a career-best 41.7% from 3-point range.
